It's definitely elderly, though. This is from "Affordable Classics" who, shockingly, have sold it. #WagonWednesday

I spent most of my commute home last night next to a Falcon 2-door wagon. It was a little rough, but that just made it cooler.

The funniest thing about the two-doors is that they're the same length, they just have more side panel and longer doors. I do like them better, but this is the first '61 pic this nice that cropped up. Do you know what year your traveling friend was? ID is actually not that hard .
It's going to be a while before my Ranchero is anything even close to this nice.

I'm no expert, but I suspect it was older. Like a '62 or earlier.

The body style you see in this pic is for 60-63. If the nose was a bit sharper, '62-'63. Trim strips on the side like this, '61. Big 'ole arrow down the side, '63 (less common on a wagon). Most of the other differences require you to have seen the grill or have a really good memory for taillights.

I didn't see the front, but I could probably remember the tail lights.

The '63s have these little pan-style affairs that look like cheap shoplights. Unless they're on a Deluxe, in which case they have a backup light in the center.
'62s have kind of a weird stove-burner or heater kind of thing going on.
'60/'61 have a three-section outer "chrome" ring like this...
Which is sometimes missing.

I would guess '62, then.

Excellent. The '62 wagons did miss out on one of the unique-to-'62 styling options, though, and that was a lower line in chrome ending in a panel behind the wheel:
The overhang on the wagon is a different length, so it wouldn't have fit.
